Kimika Forbes is international soccer player from Trinidad and Tobago. She comes from Plymouth Tobago and has made 30 appearances for the T&T National Women’s Team. After a great year in the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Girls’ Division in Trinadad, Forbes received a scholarship to attend the Monroe Community College in New York. While playing for her college team, she was also the number 1 goalkeeper for the Trinidad and Tobago Under-20 Women’s team who play in CONCACAF Championships.
When Forbes finished her time at Monroe, she enrolled at the University of Maine Fort Kent
(UMFK) leading them to the National Championship with an outstanding season. Forbes
had a great two year career at Fort Kent where she was named USCAA First Team All
American both years and women athlete of the year in 2014.
In march of the coming year, Kimika will be inducted as a member of the Hall of Fame.
Forbes made the CONCACAF Goalkeeper of the Year shortlist, as she led Sportivo Limpeno to
the Copa Libertadores title, becoming the first Caribbean footballer to win a South American
trophy.
Forbes has a bachelor degree in Elementary Education and has been on the Dean’s List
every semester since enrolling at UMFK.
