matthew dunn is an American professional soccer player. In 2006, he joined the Grasshopper Club Zürich youth team, where he spent two years. After his time in Switzerland, Dunn joined the FC Dallas youth ranks from 2008-09. Following his short time in America, he returned to Europe for a two-year stint in Germany at FC Cologne's academy.

In 2012, he Signed with Serbia SuperLiga club OFK Beograd. Dunn Returned to United States after his tenure in Serbia and played one season at the University of Maine at Fort Kent. Recorded seven goals and 10 assists in 17 games as a freshman in 2013. on April 17, 2014 Dunn left UMFK to enter the MLS Waiver Draft and was selected by Chivas USA.
In November 2014, following the contraction of the Chivas USA franchise, Dunn was selected second overall by New York City FC in the MLS Dispersal Draft.

Internationally, he Represented the United States at the 2011 FIFA U17 World Cup in Mexico and appeared in all four matches. He was also captain of the U.S U18 team.
Matt Dunn is Currently studying at Texas Christian University (TCU).
